The Distributor E-Commerce Solution for Adaptall

17 Designs recently developed a unique and interesting E-Commerce Solution for Adaptall Inc. (written using PHP web development with custom jQuery scripts) that takes into account the requirements of their distributors in filling complex orders and shipping to thousands of different customers across North America.

Once a distributor is successfully validated and logged into the Adaptall E-Commerce portal, product stock is instantly accessible and from a simple SKU listing a distributor may add multiple products to a shopping cart and update quantities.

A range of shipping options exists using the UPS Shipping API and a unique feature shows the distributor the weight and shipping container size of any order being placed.

When product stock is depleted distributors are presented with an option to Inquire. To keep product stock in sync with actual inventory a server cron job updates the MySQL product database every 15 minutes.

For management of orders distributors may reference a detailed Account History at any time. In addition, when orders are not completed distributors are prompted to re-activate orders during their next login.

To assist with on-line activity, Adaptall staff may inquire into product views, orders in progress, orders placed, password resets, logins and logoffs.

Adaptall can also choose which options a distributor is eligible to pay by: a well-established distributor can pay according to preset terms, whereas a new distributor transaction will be processed and validated by credit card using www.stripe.com.

This E-Commerce Solution gives distributors access to the complete Adaptall product line which is over 8,400 products using a fantastic mobile-friendly web interface.

E-Commerce Cross-Selling: Would you like to add a component?

0
0

Have you ever been asked: “Would you like Fries with that?”

Or, how about: “Would you like the Combo Meal?”

E-Commerce Cross-Selling is a handy way for on-line businesses (and in our case local GTA manufacturers) to sell additional products related to a current purchase.  That way if you already know your customers are going to need an added component you can give them the option to include that with their shopping cart.

Cross-selling means knowing what is the cost of that added product and what product(s) it relates to.

We have developed useful and highly effective jQuery / PHP modules that provide for this added functionality.  What’s great about these modules is they also adapt perfectly to a smart phone or tablet making for a fantastic user experience.  When a customer adds a product to his / her shopping cart, a related product is automatically presented to the customer in the form of a popup with a prompt for additional purchase.  By simply clicking YES to a checkbox the shopping cart is updated as is the pricing structure and inventory.

17 Designs is very excited to showcase this new e-commerce tool and we were happy to develop it for Adaptall.

Enhance your Website Navigation with a MegaMenu

Looking to improve your custom website navigation and create a more informative user-experience?  The jQuery MegaMenu is a fantastic way to add product thumbnails to a website dropdown menu.  In addition, supporting paragraphs with headings can be added.  As can blockquotes, hypertext links and additional imagery (JPGs, transparent PNGs).  What’s even better about the MegaMenu is it’s mobile-friendly and content can be divided into [1 to 12] columns in the same manner as one would program using the Twitter boilerplate.  On a mobile device the MegaMenu automatically converts to a Google Hamburger menu making it a perfect navigation solution for any website.

Examples of how we incorporate the MegaMenu in various client websites are shown above.

We find the MegaMenu ideal for showcasing product categories, product benefits / features and available product options.  17 Designs will link a MegaMenu to a MySQL product database table to automatically generate navigation thumbnails using custom PHP libraries.  Exceptions can be added to program the MegaMenu for multiple language support or products that are based upon the country a user selects.

MegaMenus are highly versatile and can also be used for About Us Page content, PDF downloads, Input Forms and a host of jQuery accessories.

Consider the MegaMenu for your next custom website development project.
